Central Coast GIS is a small team of dedicated GIS professionals who are passionate about spatial data. CCGIS is owned and operated by Ty Swavely, who has over 10 years of experience in the GIS and data management field.

Ty started his career as an archaeologist using mobile GPS units on projects in Massachusetts, Texas, and Belize and quickly realized the power of spatial data and mapping technologies. After pursuing a Master's in GIS from Salem State University, Ty worked in various fields applying GIS including archaeology, source water management, and viticulture.

When Ty isn’t making maps he’s hanging out with his dog, George, and his wife, Kolie in Cambria or kayak fishing the Central Coast (of course GPSing each catch).
